MRCP and ERCP are two different tools for evaluating the bile and pancreatic ducts. Both are valuable diagnostically, but their technique and goals differ.

What is MRCP?

A magnetic-resonance examination that images the bile and pancreatic ducts. It is non-interventional.

What is ERCP?

An advanced endoscopic procedure that accesses the bile and pancreatic ducts via the mouth for diagnosis and treatment.

  • For diagnosis only: MRCP
